OUR PARISH:
Through the Years

Since our humble beginnings in 1912, Immaculate Conception Catholic Church has cultivated an intensely strong community of faith. Grounded in rich history and the committed participation of the faithful, it has become a beacon on a hill in Hendersonville and beyond, devoted to expressing love of God and our neighbor.

Our church has established an immensely solid foundation - structurally and spiritually, and has become the largest Catholic parish in western North Carolina. In recent years, we have experienced significant growth in membership and greater fervor in participation in the Holy Mass, the Sacraments, ministries, fellowship and faith formation for all ages.

Today, we cultivate and nurture the faith in the hearts and minds of more than 5,500 parishioners.

When the current church building was completed nearly 27 years ago, in 1998, it stood as a beacon on hill, serving the needs of the church members at that time.

Today, we are seeing a post-Covid transition marked by growth in membership and greater fervor in the participation in the Holy Mass, the Sacraments, ministries, fellowship and formation of all ages. This presents us with new opportunities and challenges. However, in these 27 years of faithful participation of thousands of parishioners, there have been no major renovations funded or completed inside the church building.

To address those opportunities and challenges before us, we prayerfully, and with great hope and faith in our generous God, enter into this interior renovation campaign — as it is "interior" both spiritually and materially.
